About Us

At The Voice Therapy Clinic, we are passionate about Voice & ENT throat conditions, a focus that has been at the heart of my work since starting my career in Speech & Language Therapy.  Appointed as Clinical Lead in Voice & ENT in 2015 in the NHS, I am a state registered clinician with extensive experience working  alongside ENT and respiratory teams.  We provide expert assessment and therapy to help you restore and strengthen your voice and support your throat and upper airway health.

We understand how much these issues can affect daily life and well-being. With care and compassion, we take the time to understand you and tailor therapy to your individual needs.  While we love our work in the NHS, we understand that waiting times can sometimes mean a longer wait for support.  That’s why we offer an option for people to access care when they need it most.

Client Testimonials

During my teenage years, I would wake up regularly during the night gasping for breath. These symptoms were quite alarming and would disappear as quickly as they started. My GP diagnosed me with asthma. For over 50 years, I have used a variety of inhalers and had a number of hospital tests, but the did not work and I continued to experience breathlessness, especially in my throat, with no easing of symptoms. After describing my symptoms to an ENT consultant, I was told I had ILO, known as Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction and referred to Mandeep. She told me that ILO was not only manageable, but can be reversible! We went through specific breathing exercises and discussed adjustments to my diet. I no longer have serious episodes and even the milder ones are so infrequent, they are manageable and don’t bother me. I hope the training initiated by Mandeep will help sufferers life myself (for 50 years in my case) to benefit from eradicating these symptoms and live an ILO (and asthma!) free life.

From my first meeting with Mandeep, I had total trust in her. Her approachable manner and superb listening skills put me at ease straight away. She was patient, supportive and was willing to take the time to understand my difficulties and how they were impacting my voice. I had a long road ahead of me but she never wavered in her positivity and resourcefulness. She was always reliable and gave me belief in my recovery. Her sense of humour and thoughtful encouragement allowed me to see a way forward and when I was ready to move on, she ensured I had a plan in place to reduce the chances of recurrence. I could not recommend her more highly. I will be forever grateful.

Claire

I was recommended to Mandeep by my private ENT consultant at Washington Spire Hospital as I was diagnosed with Vocal Aphonia. Essentially I hadn’t had a voice at this stage for 8 weeks and concern was really starting to creep in. When I first met Mandeep, she was so friendly and welcoming, instantly putting me at ease. In out first session, it was explained what the purpose of the session was and how this would be structured with the plan for going forward with the overall goal of restoring my voice. Having never done anything like this before with vocal exercises, I couldn’t help but feel strange and silly, but Mandeep was so professional and reassuring so any uncomfortableness quickly disappeared. The next 4 sessions were great and this overall resulted in me regaining my voice and having my confidence back. I can’t honestly recommend or thank Mandeep enough.
